Grand Rapids Civic Theatre is happy to welcome you to their shows and events. You can maximize your enjoyment of the show by reading and adhering to the following policies and guidelines.

Arrival Policy

GRCT recommends you give yourself at least 30 minutes before your show’s start time to find parking and make it to the theater. Doors open for seating 30 minutes before each performance and GCRT recommends that you show up no later than 15 minutes before showtime.

If you arrive late, you will be seated at the earliest appropriate break period during the show at the discretion of the House Manager. This allows audience members to enjoy the show with the least possible disruption. Late arrivals may be given alternate seating, which means you may not be able to sit with your party or in the seats you were originally assigned.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations for GRCT performances are rare. But when weather or unforeseen circumstances force a cancellation, GRCT will make every attempt to contact you and make arrangements for alternative dates. GRCT does not offer refunds, even if a performance is canceled due to bad weather on performance date.

Children Policy

GRCT has a strict “no babe in arms” policy. This means that toddlers, infants, and any child who requires to be held in arms will not be permitted in the theater. Per Grand Rapids Fire Marshall policy, all guests must have their ticket. Every performance has a listing for recommended audience members, so it is recommended that children not attend productions that are not suited for younger audiences.

Hearing Assistance Policy

GRCT offers the Hearing Loop system and a hearing device that can be checked out from the Lobby Box Office before any performance. These devices are free of charge, so if you or a member of your party needs them, please ask the Lobby Box Office when you arrive.

Refund Policy

Tickets to all GRCT shows are non-refundable. Credits cannot be issued for unused tickets.
